Djapo is excited to announce its 15th Annual Juneteenth African Dance & Drum Fest featuring the Night of Unity celebration. The festival will be held June 14th-16th, 2024 with Master teachers from across West Africa, South America, Haiti, Cuba, and the U.S. This annual highly anticipated event, has a history of attracting thousands of participants throughout Northeast Ohio. Festival Workshops

Jun 14th - 16th | Pivot Cultural Arts Center

Workshops throughout the entire weekend teaching traditional dances from Guinea, Senegal, Mali, Haiti, Ivory Coast, USA and much more!

Come out and welcome our amazing festival teaching artists, Djapo's own Weedie Braimah, Yousouff Koumbassa, Djenaba Sako, Diadie Bathily, Awa Pikine, Portsha Jefferson, Atiba Rorie, Sam Macintosh and Magatte Fall as we celebrate Juneteenth with art, music, dance, history, culture and folklore!

Night of Unity

Jun 15th | Doors Open @7pm + Show Starts @8pm | Cleveland Public Theatre

An evening of Reflection, Remembrance, Community and Celebration hosted by Cleveland Public Theatre. All tickets include food, live music and performance
